ASSIGNMENTS
Me and my course mates have been assigned to three major assignments in this course. Two of them are individual assignment meanwhile the remaining is a group assignment.
Our two individual assignments were Reading Journal 1 and Reading Journal 2. In this assignment, we have been assigned to write our own journal reflection based on the article that have been given. These are PDF forms of the outcome of my work for Reading Journal 1 and 2. Spare some of your time to read them. 🤍

FUNDAMENTALS OF ACADEMIC READING JOURNAL 2
In my opinion, Reading Journal assignment was one of assignments that I might say put my mind on ease. I said so because Sir Afiq allows us to be as free as we could in writing it as long as it is related to the article given. Sir Afiq gave us sufficient amount of time to complete both of these journal and Im grateful for that. Even though I did say that this assignment did put my mind on ease, sometimes I admit there are times where my mind went elsewhere and not cooperating as much in inventing brilliant ideas. Nevertheless, thankfully I still did manage to complete both journals before the due.
For our final assignment for Fundamentals of Academic Reading (TSL014),we have been assigned in group of four to complete a speech presentation.
My group mates for this assignment are Muhammad, Irdina and Radin. We have chosen a topic regarding body language for this assignment and I must say the process of this assignment was neutral. It is hard at times, but it is fun too at the same time. Probably because this assignment was due in week 14, the most hectic week in a life of TESL student. Despite the tons of assignments due awaiting, we successfully completed it right in time.
Thanks to Muhammad, Irdina and Radin. It was such an experience working with them. Muhammad is a very talented person when it comes to brainstorming ideas of how our presentation video going to be. His experience and knowledge as a YouTuber really benefit all of us during this assignment because he knows how to edit the speech presentation video as swift as he could. On the other hand, Irdina and Radin were both easy to work with. They did not only contribute their ideas as much as they could during the assignment process but also did their best in delivering speech for our presentation video. Im glad that I had the chance to be in a group assignment with all of them.

This is our slides for our speech presentation assignment. Have fun reading!

PERSONAL REVIEW FOR TSL014 AS A WHOLE
I really found comfort in learning this subject, thanks to Sir Afiq for being such a cool lecturer. At first, I do wonder what is it that we are going to learn with a subject that named 'academic reading' but now I do understand. What can I say is that it is not as easy as the name because there are a lot of complex information that I need to master in order to be able to use it in real life events and also in my studies. This subject also makes me realise the subconscious things that I did back then during my leisure time reading do require specific skills to get the most out of it.

This is during our last class of Fundamentals of Academic Reading with Sir Afiq.
